HABITAT FOR HUMANITY International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety. Volunteers are needed to help in all phases of building a house so that it can become a home.

Mary Queen Parish has been actively involved in helping build houses for needy people for many years. Ron Wedding (an original member of this parish since 1962) headed up this ministry for our parish until his death in 2015.
