All priests, deacons, altar servers and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion must wash their hands before Mass begins and use an alcohol-based, anti bacterial solution before and after distributing Holy Communion.

• Discern how to do this to best maintain the reverence of the Mass.
• Ensure ALL VESSELS used at Mass, once purified, are thoroughly washed with soap and hot water after each use.

• The recommendation from public health officials is that 6 feet between individuals is necessary to prevent spread of this virus. This should be noted to congregations, encouraging people to do the best they can to observe it.
• Refrain from physical contact during the Sign of Peace (note: the Sign of Peace can be exchanged without physical contact)
• Refrain from distribution of Holy Communion to the faithful via the chalice (please consider options for any parishioners with celiac disease or sensitivity)
• Given the frequency of direct contact with saliva in the distribution of Holy Communion on the tongue, every consideration should be given by each individual to receive Holy Communion reverently in open hands for the time being.
• Refrain from holding hands during the Lord’s Prayer.
• Refrain from using the Holy Water fonts.
• Faithful who are experiencing symptoms of sickness are not obliged to attend Mass, and out of charity they ought not to attend.

  
Ushers
 - Prop open doors to the church approximately 30 minutes before Mass to avoid touching door handles (total of 8 doors).
- The outside doors immediately next to the Eucharistic Chapel (2)
- The 2nd set of doors immediately next to the Eucharistic Chapel (2)
- The doors leading into the church (6)
- Place collection baskets on both sides of the font for people to place their donations after Mass - avoids having people handle the baskets.

Captains/Sacristans
- The wine and bread will not be brought up at offertory but placed at the credence table.  
- Small cruet with wine is placed on credence table before mass.
- An estimation of hosts is made after everyone has arrived.  Place hosts in large ciboria.  Walk the ciboria up the left side ramp and place on credence table (Yes, this is after mass has started).
